East Village explosion leads to partial collapse of building

An explosion rocked the northwest corner of 2nd Avenue and 7th Street in Manhattan's East Village this afternoon, injuring as many as 30 people and leading the partial collapse of a tenement building, according to various reports. The blast was reported about 3:15 p.m. at either 125 2nd Avenue.
